I am a big geek myself, so when my fiance proposed to me, he did it at San Diego Comic con, we then went and saw Transformers together afterwards :)


He also knew that I didn't wear a lot of jewelry and hate gold and that my favorite colors were blue %26amp; white.


So he got me a white gold ring with 3 diamonds in the center and 3 tiny diamonds in the band on either side.

OK so I was proposed to horribly but I was so exited it didn't matter but don't do what my man did he was so unromantic. He didn't even try. My advice show her you put alot of thought into it and you really want it to be special. My brother proposed at their favorite restaurant when she ordered dessert he had the waiter send out an ice-cream scoop topped with those little heart message candies all saying will you marry me with the ring in the center, it was so romantic. The ring 9 out of 10 girls dream of a solitude diamond in the center. A simple princess ring.

i think you should get a ring that really shows how much you love her.


and for the will you marry me part.


i think you should say something like:


';(her name) from when we first got together, i thought you were amazing. i love you with all of my heart, and i would like to spend the rest of my life with you'; (then you get down on one knee, get your ring out and say ';will you do me the honour in marrying me?'; or something like that.. you should change it to make it more personal

Just don't do what my fiance did. He laid down in bed as I was nursing our five month old to sleep and handed me a box, and said, ';So when can I make an honest woman out of you?'; I know we have a kid and have been together for almost 10 years, but I was waiting for a real proposal with all the bells and whistles. Maybe a bended knee. I also wanted him to do it around people, which I told him, and he forgot. I love the ring, a perfect heart shaped diamond, carat and a half, just like I wanted, but the proposal really took away some of the thunder that ring should have had. So don't screw up one or the other. My advice is listen to her, she's probably already told you what she wants and even how to propose. If not ask her, then wait long enough that she's forgotten you asked. Hide her ring in food!! I always wanted to be proposed to that way. So, just listen to her. Good luck!! She'll be telling her kids about you proposed and she'll be looking at the ring for the rest of her life. Take her jewelry shopping and see what's she interested in. You could buy the ring and surprise her there! Aw ! How romantic!
It all depends on the girl...I would ask her close friends, or family and they would be able to help you out the most...Has she dropped any hints before like ';OMG thats so pretty'; or something like that??





Anyways, I can tell you my fantasy ring if you want...I want a solitaire 1ct. diamond (princess or round cut) set in white gold or platinum...Of I want a three diamond set with a 1ct. center and two smaller diamonds on the sides...





But like I said it all varies on the girl...not all girls want the same thing...some want bling and some may not....
a big diamond ring . princess cut. and not a solitaire. propose in a romantic place or favorite place of yours.

Hi... im sorry, i am not a Lady, but still, as i proposed to my girlfriend (now my fianc茅e) almost one month ago i have all fresh. First, for me was very important the place, it shouldnt be a restaurant (very tipical and used), it shoudnt be at home (not special), ... i decided to propose her in Prague (i live in Germany). It is a very nice city, and i proposed her there in the Charle麓s Bridge at night. The ring was a white gold princess modell with a diamond (she hates Gold and she doesn麓t use a lot of jewerly).





My recommendation for you: Pick a ring that matches your girlfriend (she likes jewerly? , she likes gold? white gold? diamonds? big ones? small ones?), the place should be something to remember, something different... how and what to say... let your heart speak... everything you planned you will forgot. My heart beated so hard when i was proposing her that i forgot everything and right now i am not able to repeat 100% what i said to her... but it was beautiful...





in my case, she cried and said... yes, yes, yes...





second recommendation... don麓t spend a lot in the ring if you are planning to getting married soon... a wedding is SOOOOO expensive :S...
