Fashion Advice for Engagement Pics-Please!?

My fiance %26amp; I are taking our engagement photos next month in Texas. I really want to wear a black %26amp; white skirt or dress b/c I've heard that photographs well. But what should my fiance wear? I was thinking a white polo or button down shirt w/khakis. Is this too generic? I want him to be stylish but classic. Is this even possible? Any advice is appreciated!Fashion Advice for Engagement Pics-Please!?
As long as they are solid colors or with bold stripes, you should be okay, regardless of color. Just make sure that the colors don't clash. I wore a black shirt with gray pinstriped pants while my husband wore a maroon shirt with black pants.

Where in TX are you gonna take your pics? I did mine at the George Bush Library in College Station and a few generic ones at the Water Wall in Houston.Fashion Advice for Engagement Pics-Please!?
White is not a good color to photgraph in. A conservative style of shirt is ok, but needs to be a color or stripe. This is mainly a head shot anyway so pants are not going to make much difference.
Suggestion from someone who's been there. Dress the way you feel comfortable, the way you guys are RIGHT NOW. I'd suggest to have the photos shot in black %26amp; white though because it puts more focus on the subject in the shot(BOTH OF YOU,BEING IN LOVE!!!) and you won't see little things that could be irratating later on, like the fact that you both have white on but one is more white than the other and you could wear colours or denim. Buy a disposable black %26amp; white camera and have a friend take your picture, or you guys can take pictures of each other ; } Congrats to both of you!!!!!!
Well when my sis took her pics last spring, her and her then fiance wore a dark red because that was their wedding colors (the color of the bridesmaid dresses). I think that was a pretty good idea and they came out so nice. I think it would be pretty easy for you to find a dress or shirt and find a shirt for him that matches b/c men's shirts come in almost every shade under the rainbow. good luck and congratulations :)
I think what you said would look nice. Because like you said, you don't wanna go too trendy and regret it ten years from now. Classic always looks hot and never goes outta style. Congrats!
