Engagement ring advice?

How can I remind him that I am still without a ring, announcing our engagement? I've hinted that is what I want for Christmas, but money is tight since we are buying a house. Any ideas?Engagement ring advice?
Just ask him right out, nicely of course what his plans are for rings, after all he already asked you to marry him so the surprise part should be over.

If he is worried about the cost of an expensive ring...check with yours or his mom, or even the grandmothers in case they might have a diamond to contribute. Even something small, a good jeweler can re-set or even design a ring for a much small fee than buying a new diamond.

Congratulations and Good luckEngagement ring advice?
Just tell him straight out! And it shouldn't be a Christmas present, it's totally different than that.
Never hint, men generally don't take hints, if you are going to marry this man then you should be able to talk openly and freely with him about anything.
Be honest about it and tell him you'd like a ring. Pick out a setting that you like and either put in a white sapphire or a CZ until you can afford a diamond. Or go with a smaller diamond in the range of $1000 - $2000.
if money is that tight then you need to either settle for the idea of not having them or just getting a smaller diamond until you can get a bigger one
If you don't get it for Christmas, I would wonder how concerned he is about your feelings.

A ring lets the world know that you are loved, engaged and unavailable. I'm sure I'll get many thumbs down on that one, but it's true.
Tell him again, but maybe he's just like he's not thinking about it but he really is. You can build your own engagement ring online, it will be very unique and it's possible to make it an affordable one but still beautiful.

It will be very unique, I don't know your budget but you can make a perfect ring for $1000-2000 and even less since only love counts doesn't it ?

Just be open and honest. Yeah, it's hard. If you eally want a ing and money is eally tight you might have to tell him your willing to settle for something small for the meantime. Or go with cubic zirconia or something that looks like a diamond for now. I forgot what it was my friend used but she did that and nobody gave it a second thought.
I think that 1000 to 2000 is pretty expensive. I would stay stick with the 3 digits, and ask him for something small. You can always upgrade later. But keep in mind that he might be planning on getting it for you for Christmas. Or surprise you with it on New Years. Good luck and congrats!!!
