Advice needed about problems with Engagement ring...?

OK... here goes nothing, this might be kind of long.My fiancee purchased my engagement ring from a local jeweler in February. When the ring was brought home it was missing one of the small side stones, which neither of us thought was a big deal, the ring needed to be sized anyways and could just be repaired while being sent in for sizing. The ring was sent off and came back 2 weeks later. 2 days after wearing the repaired ring, 2 more small diamonds fell out. The ring was once again sent back, and was gone for another 1-2 weeks.I asked the jewelry store to check all settings before the ring was sent back. When the ring came back the jeweler had placed a small note on the receipt that said ';do not place on size mechanic, will destroy ring';. I asked the jeweler what that meant, and he said when they re sized my ring it wasn't completely round, and if placed on a round size mechanic, that it would warp the ring and destroy it. I thought this was kind of odd,so I asked to look at my ring under a microscope, and to have them check all the settings. Sure enough, the jeweler had found 7 loose stones on one side of the ring... At this point they decided to make me a new ring, because my previous one was destroyed beyond repair.

At this point I was upset that if I would have not asked to look at the ring under a microscope, I would have once again left the store, and had to come back because of diamonds falling out.Not to mention, they tried to send me home with a destroyed ring.

They told me to keep my defective ring until my new ring came in, and that my new ring could take 5-6 weeks to come in. My new ring came in 7 weeks later. I was so excited to finally go pick it up. Right away I noticed the center stone in my new ring was yellow... noticeably yellow, as yellow as the yellow pages. I knew this wasn't right, My ring is a GH clarity, which is colorless to the naked eye. I immediately pointed this out to the woman working, who in return tried to tell me, Oh... I bet it's just a better cut than your original diamond, and it's drawing in the color from the walls, I knew this was a bunch of BS, so I asked to look at the diamond in the hallway, where it was still indeed yellow.I feel that the ring should have came back of equal value if not better due to all of the inconveniences, but instead they tried to rip me off.

So after trying to give me a cheaper diamond, they decided to put the diamond from my original ring, into the new ring. My ring was once again sent off for another week.

I picked my ring up, and the ring looked much better. However, I was sure to examine it, just because I was so cautious that they were trying to pull one over on me. After looking at the ring, I noticed the side stones were crooked, and there was a millimeter gap difference. I once again took the ring back, and the man told me he would have it sent off to be repaired, and that it may be gone anywhere from 2 -6 weeks. So once again I would be without my engagement ring. I couldn't take the chance of not having my ring back on time for my engagement pictures, so I decided to keep the ring.

We decided to take the ring to a sister branch of the store we bought it from, which was an hour away. I pointed the defect out to the man working, who immediately saw what I was talking about, and 3 other defects that I had not noticed. He was very apologetic, and helpful. He told us that the ring would have never left his shop in that condition. He put an order in for a completely new ring, and let me wear my old ring until my new one arrives, which could take up to 6 or 7 weeks. When the new ring arrives, we will once again have to drive an hour to pick it up, in hopes to have no more problems with the new ring.

I am in love with the ring, and just wish they could send me a non defective ring, without problems.I just feel like half of my engagement,I haven't had a ring to wear, and the times I have had it to wear it has been missing diamonds, which is completely embarrassing. I spoke with the district manager, and his reply was sorry, I can give you your money back. The thing is, I don't want my money back, I want MY ring, the way it's supposed to be. The ring has now been sent back a total of 5 times, and I will now be receiving my 3rd ring, any advice on how this should be handled ?Advice needed about problems with Engagement ring...?
As long as the sister store is willing to do you proper , I would continue to deal with them, every 6 months you will have to make that hour drive ( at least we have to for mine, for it to be cleaned %26amp; inspected to keep it insured the life time warranty on it), but for something as important as your engagement ring which hopefully you be wearing the rest of your life it is worth it Once you actually get it back in the right condition %26amp; properly done. As far as the store I would probably ask when you pick up your new %26amp; improved ring if they can give you a number to the corporate office, %26amp; notify them of the problems you had at the first store. The last thing they want is this kind of blemish to their name, %26amp; stores. They will deal with that store %26amp; it's employees as is their policy for this kind of complaint. %26amp; you may find yourself with a nice rebate or small gift card for what you have endured,( not a promise, wishful thinking though). %26amp; ';CONGRATULATIONS';*
