OK... here goes nothing, this might be kind of long.My fiancee purchased my engagement ring from a local jeweler in February. When the ring was brought home it was missing one of the small side stones, which neither of us thought was a big deal, the ring needed to be sized anyways and could just be repaired while being sent in for sizing. The ring was sent off and came back 2 weeks later. 2 days after wearing the repaired ring, 2 more small diamonds fell out. The ring was once again sent back, and was gone for another 1-2 weeks.I asked the jewelry store to check all settings before the ring was sent back. When the ring came back the jeweler had placed a small note on the receipt that said ';do not place on size mechanic, will destroy ring';. I asked the jeweler what that meant, and he said when they re sized my ring it wasn't completely round, and if placed on a round size mechanic, that it would warp the ring and destroy it. I thought this was kind of odd,so I asked to look at my ring under a microscope, and to have them check all the settings. Sure enough, the jeweler had found 7 loose stones on one side of the ring... At this point they decided to make me a new ring, because my previous one was destroyed beyond repair.
At this point I was upset that if I would have not asked to look at the ring under a microscope, I would have once again left the store, and had to come back because of diamonds falling out.Not to mention, they tried to send me home with a destroyed ring.
They told me to keep my defective ring until my new ring came in, and that my new ring could take 5-6 weeks to come in. My new ring came in 7 weeks later. I was so excited to finally go pick it up. Right away I noticed the center stone in my new ring was yellow... noticeably yellow, as yellow as the yellow pages. I knew this wasn't right, My ring is a GH clarity, which is colorless to the naked eye. I immediately pointed this out to the woman working, who in return tried to tell me, Oh... I bet it's just a better cut than your original diamond, and it's drawing in the color from the walls, I knew this was a bunch of BS, so I asked to look at the diamond in the hallway, where it was still indeed yellow.I feel that the ring should have came back of equal value if not better due to all of the inconveniences, but instead they tried to rip me off.
So after trying to give me a cheaper diamond, they decided to put the diamond from my original ring, into the new ring. My ring was once again sent off for another week.
I picked my ring up, and the ring looked much better. However, I was sure to examine it, just because I was so cautious that they were trying to pull one over on me. After looking at the ring, I noticed the side stones were crooked, and there was a millimeter gap difference. I once again took the ring back, and the man told me he would have it sent off to be repaired, and that it may be gone anywhere from 2 -6 weeks. So once again I would be without my engagement ring. I couldn't take the chance of not having my ring back on time for my engagement pictures, so I decided to keep the ring.
We decided to take the ring to a sister branch of the store we bought it from, which was an hour away. I pointed the defect out to the man working, who immediately saw what I was talking about, and 3 other defects that I had not noticed. He was very apologetic, and helpful. He told us that the ring would have never left his shop in that condition. He put an order in for a completely new ring, and let me wear my old ring until my new one arrives, which could take up to 6 or 7 weeks. When the new ring arrives, we will once again have to drive an hour to pick it up, in hopes to have no more problems with the new ring.
I am in love with the ring, and just wish they could send me a non defective ring, without problems.I just feel like half of my engagement,I haven't had a ring to wear, and the times I have had it to wear it has been missing diamonds, which is completely embarrassing. I spoke with the district manager, and his reply was sorry, I can give you your money back. The thing is, I don't want my money back, I want MY ring, the way it's supposed to be. The ring has now been sent back a total of 5 times, and I will now be receiving my 3rd ring, any advice on how this should be handled ?Advice needed about problems with Engagement ring...?
As long as the sister store is willing to do you proper , I would continue to deal with them, every 6 months you will have to make that hour drive ( at least we have to for mine, for it to be cleaned %26amp; inspected to keep it insured the life time warranty on it), but for something as important as your engagement ring which hopefully you be wearing the rest of your life it is worth it Once you actually get it back in the right condition %26amp; properly done. As far as the store I would probably ask when you pick up your new %26amp; improved ring if they can give you a number to the corporate office, %26amp; notify them of the problems you had at the first store. The last thing they want is this kind of blemish to their name, %26amp; stores. They will deal with that store %26amp; it's employees as is their policy for this kind of complaint. %26amp; you may find yourself with a nice rebate or small gift card for what you have endured,( not a promise, wishful thinking though). %26amp; ';CONGRATULATIONS';*

Advice on soldering wedding rings/engagement rings together?
Ok, I have a few questions regarding my rings. My fiance bought me two enhancers to go with my engagement ring after the wedding, one for each side of the ring. One is technically the ';wedding band'; and the other is just a wedding ';gift'; but because they are curved bands, it looks better to have both. When I tried them on, they seem to move around a bit and don't match up all the time with where the curved part should sit. Is it unusual to have the three soldered together and what are the pros and cons? I would never wear the band by itself because it's a curved band and would look strange. The rings came from Kay's...has anyone had any experience from there with soldering rings together--did they do a good job, and how long did it take? I hate the idea of being without my ring for two weeks leading up to the wedding. I had considered taking it to another jeweler to get it done same-day; would this ruin my warranty at Kay's? Any advice or comments on this topic would be greatly appreciated! :) Thanks.Advice on soldering wedding rings/engagement rings together?
Kay is probably going to do a good job, and probably going to void your warranty if anyone else works on the rings. I can't promise that though.
I had mine soldered together because of the curvy thing that was moving around and making me crazy. I hated being without it, but am glad I did because it's all one piece and I love it.Advice on soldering wedding rings/engagement rings together?
My ring is similar having two bands on each side of the engagement ring. I had mine soldered together and it looks great. They dont move around anymore and you cant tell there solder unless you look. Igot mine done at samules. I recomend going back to kays since that is where you bought the rings, that way you dont loose your warranty.
I have never had rings soldered together, but i would go with someone like Kay's jewelers to have it done, any jeweler with a good reputation would be best. And don't worry about how long it would take to do it, you will have the rest of your life to wear them.
I am getting mine done! He got my ring from Samuel's Jewelers so we will get the bands there. And once they are together then both rings will be under my original insurance so I won't have to buy additional insurace for the wedding band.
I think that you should wait until after you're married to decide. Wear all three rings for at least two weeks before you decide. I'm not sure if the rings can be unsoldered once they are done and if they can I don't know what they would look like.
I would make sure this is something that you want to do. I'm in the same boat. I have my engagement ring and I'll get my matching band when we get married. I want to get another band as well and possibly get them soldered together. I haven't decided yet.
If you do it, I would get it done at Kay's for the sake of your warranty.
My mom's rings have been soldered together for 40 years and she's never had a problem. You'll have to read your documentation from Kay but usually the warranty is actually on the diamonds not the band itself so I think you'd be ok taking it somewhere else but I'd call them and ask just to make sure.
I didn't solder my rings and I am constantly fidgeting with them to keep them lined up. I do anticipate wearing the band by itself when I travel so that's why I kept the rings separate. I sometimes take trips to very poor parts of the world and I plan to leave the big engagement ring home.
it really doesn't take a lot for a jeweler to solder rings together. it's a fairly quick process and they will add a bit of gold, white gold or platinum to the bottom of your rings. there's nothing ring with having your rings soldered together either, it all depends on what you just explained or personal preferences. myself i decided to not have my rings soldered just because i wanted 2 separate rings. it doesn't hurt the rings in anyway if you want them soldered and then later on changed your mind and have them unsoldered. also having your rings solder should not take 2 weeks. i worked at a jewelry store them is very much the same as kays and it only took 3 days and thats because we only had the jeweler come in to pick up and drop off 3 days in the week. yes taking it to another jeweler will void your warranty from kay's only because the rings were touched by another jeweler and not by kay's. reason being is that every jeweler does their work differently and if you were to take it to another jeweler let's say jeweler B other then kay's, jeweler B could of messed up your ring and kay's would not want to touch a ring that was already messed up by another jeweler therefore voiding your warranty on your rings. so i would just take it to kay's and explain to them that you need your rings back right away because your taking picture with your rings on and they would have a rush on your rings and you'll get it back in no time.
If you have any more questions you can email me.

Advice on breaking off an engagement?
Our relationship is such a mess. We live four hours apart, we have for our entire relationship. We went on our first date in October 2007, and after that, we'd call each other now and then, or I'd drive to see him. He was also busy with schoolwork or family problems when I'd call, and he would never commit to us actually being ';in a relationship'; though I asked numerous times. Finally, in May 2008, when he graduated college (mind you, never invited me to any of that) we completely lost contact. I was a little down that it happened, but I just moved on with my life, dated other guys and went on like normal. Then, out of the blue in October 2008, he sends me an IM and starts talking like normal. Apparently, to him, we've been together this entire time. He tells me he loves me, which I stupidly said back, I believe out of reflex. So he tells me that over the summer, he went through detox because he was an alcoholic in college - which he never came across as but I guess that's his call. Therefore we can just pick up where we left off and everything is fine. Well, he finds out that not only did I date other men while we were ';still together'; but I slept with two of them which of course is the ultimate betrayal (I'm not mocking that cheating is the ultimate betrayal, I'm just mocking him.) From him finding this out in either January or February 2009, my life has been hell since then. From the time he gets off work or I get out of class, whichever is later, I am on the phone with him until we go to sleep. No time for homework, friends, family or just myself. I feel that every comment I make is scrutinized, for example me saying how cute this old guy was at a picnic meant hours of being yelled at/given the silent treatment. He has threatened suicide because I ';cheated'; on him, told me he will never get over it, will always have to live with the fact that he was not good enough for me. He made up rules for me, that this past summer I had to live with him and his family and do my internship in his town, even though I had one set up in my town. I was not allowed to go out with friends, to drink any alcohol when he was not with me. It was a lot like being grounded, just work and school, then my apartment.
The thing is, whenever we're together, we rarely have problems. It is when I'm up North going to college and he's in his hometown working that there are so many problems daily that make me want to run away. And whenever I bring up ending the relationship, he just tells me that it is just me giving up on us again like I did when I cheated on him. Our wedding plans have stalled because I cannot put any heart into it. Honestly, I'm not even sure I love him. All I feel that he does is throw comments I have made or things I have done back in my face when it is convenient for him, or sweet talking me when that works better in his favor.
I am not sure if just breaking the engagement, but remaining together is reasonable or if I really should just ';give up on us'; so I can be free.Advice on breaking off an engagement?
I think you should be honest with him and tell him much of what you've told us.
This relationship is not mature enough for you to marry. You haven't spent the time together that you need to know its the one that you want for the rest of your lives.
I'd say break it off entirely and give yourselves time - and I'd be secretly looking out for signs of some sort of ';issues'; with him - because in his alcoholic delusions he's convinced himself you've been together all this time and betrayed him. In fact he hasn't dealt with any relationship issues. He's probably a control freak. I don't necessarily mean you need to worry about stalking and stuff - he just may need a couple of firm nudges out the door, but you will need to watch for him.
You need to end it completely - I'd almost bet that calling off the engagement and remaining together will mean NOTHING to him - he'd still say your were engaged... and in his mind you would be.Advice on breaking off an engagement?
Runnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. You are asking for trouble if you stay with this idiot.
He sounds veryyyyyyyyyy controlling. And your life would be all about him and what he wants.
leave...you shouldnt feel trapped or punished. run like heck....hes no good for you and he sounds kind of self destructive....and those kind of ppl can destroy those around them so again RUN.
zzzz. are you done yet? hope so. here is the easy answer. dont answer the freaking phone. change your number. if you cant do that, then dont complanin that you have to stay on the phone all night.
i wasnt kidding. you are more than one half of this idiotic problem.
First he is an addict and wants control of everything you do with not any space. You need to break up totally with, but he needs help. Get him into AA. But, you need to back off from him.
You aren't ';giving up on us'; because there never was a real us. He's a man with a LOT of problems. To use an old expression, Gal, pick up your skirts and run!
I mean it, leave this whole situation and do not look back. He needs extensive professional help because he has mental problems. You might want to ask yourself why you are/were with someone who ';allows'; you or does not ';allow'; you to do things. ';Allowing'; is for children, not for healthy, mature, functioning adults.
Think about this. Whenever you're apart (after marriage), he'll be checking on you, and this includes while you're at work, with friends, shopping, church, with your family - - everything. Do you really want a marriage where you are given crazy rules? And I can promise you this, they will get worse. What if he disappears again for a few months? What will you do?
You never mentioned having any interest in this man, let alone any feelings for him. It sounds like you're marrying him because you don't have the backbone to say no. That's not a marriage.
If you have a lick of sense, you will not only break off the engagement, but you will not see this man again. I just can't imagine how or why you agreed to live under these insane rules. Please take care of yourself now before you end up needing orders of protection and who knows what else later. Get out. Stay out.
He's psycho. If you stay in this relationship with him, you're psycho too! No, seriously. You sound unhappy. I can't imagine how you must feel ';being allowed'; or ';not allowed'; to do things. Next you'll find yourself isolating yourself from people so he won't get mad at you for slights, real or imagined (by him, of course). Then he'll probably demand that you stop seeing your folks and your friends... Honey, you're in an abusive relationship. Get out while you still can. While you still have your sanity and your self-esteem, get out of this relationship. I beg you. Don't become another statistic.
Don't believe him when he says he's gonna kill himself if you break up with him. He's just using it as a way of controlling you. If he does try to hurt himself, then he's bound to get medical attention. Self-inflicted injuries most always warrant a psychiatric evaluation. From what you've mentioned here, it's my professional opinion that he not only needs an evaluation, he needs therapy and medication.
WHY?!?! Why didnt you say ';WE HAVENT TALKED IN 5 MONTHS, you stranded my @$$, so yeah I found guys that actually TALKED to me.'; Besides it sounds like you want to be FREE.
I was dating a guy, he up and disappeared and then called randomly and I chewed his @$$ out. ';WTF? Who do you think you are, f*ck no, I dont want anything to do with you. douchebag.'; ';Sorry I was..'; ';I DONT CARE WHAT THE HELL YOU WERE DOING NEVER CALL ME AGAIN.';
that was about the reaction you should've had,
BE FREE QUICK, run like the wind, strand his @$$ for 5 months and see how he reacts, what a psycho.
You sound unbearably unhappy. You deserve better. Break it off and move on with your life. Meet other guys and I know you will find someone who treats you like a princess and will show you that he values you and your time together. Ditch him. Or you will regret marrying this man for the rest of your life.
From what you've told us, I think you know what you need to do. He seems very overbearing and suffocating. You need to get out while you can. This relationship doesn't seem very healthy for you whatsoever. When trying to end the relationships he says you're ';giving up again like when you cheated on him,'; fine, let him say that and whatever else he wants to. You have to watch out for you first, not him. I hope you find your answer and make the best decision for YOU.
You are very passive in letting this guy just take over and you do what he tells you to do. You need to get control of your life and get yourself a backbone and make some hard decisions. If not, you will end up marrying this guy and that will only end in divorce later on. If you can't stand him now and you don't love him, it will only get worse once you are married.
How do you break off an engagement? You say, ';I really don't want to get married. I have decided this relationship is not what I want for myself. I'm sorry, but I'm breaking up with you.'; Then end it. Don't talk to him about it because he will end up talking you out of it since you are clearly quite passive and he knows how to manipulate you. Don't talk to him. Don't answer his calls. And if he happens to run into you somewhere, just say 2 words to him which is ';It's over.'; Women do this every day in unhappy relationships and you can too.
he has an inferiority complex and that can lead to abuse- physical mental and emotional. you said it yourself, he gave you rules- that is a control issue used in abuse. you said he doesnt think he is good enough for you which is another form of control and inferiority. he is not honest with you and he has a history of alcohol abuse. now if you had a friend telling you this same story what would you say to her? run right? well sister RUN. if you even have to question your love, you are not in love. it sounds like you are in jail ';so i can be free'; that is NOT a loving relationship that is a prison. you need to break it off and dont be controlled by his threats of suicide. he has other issues he needs to deal with and you have a life to lead. Need advice...Is it cheaper to buy an engagement ring first?
Cheaper to buy engagement ring first and then buy the band or buy both at same time? ..and what is the cheapest place to buy a nice 1/2 carat diamond ring?..Need advice...Is it cheaper to buy an engagement ring first?
It depends...most places will offer some sort of discount if you buy both with them whether it is at the sametime or not. The saftest way to go about it is to go to a jewler you know and trust or go to someone who can refer you to a good one. PLaces with big names will always charge oyu more and only for their name. Shop around thats the best thing you can do!
Good Luck!Need advice...Is it cheaper to buy an engagement ring first?
It depends on the jewelry store. Sometimes they will have bargain deals where you can buy the engagement ring and wedding ring as a pair for ___ price. My fiancee bought just my engagement ring at Rogers %26amp; Hollands, and it is .61 carats and exceptional quality. I think it cost around $2,600 dollars. Check out all the main jewelers- Kay, Rogers %26amp; Hollands, Zales, JB Robinson, etc. and check prices. They all have websites so it's easy to comparison shop.
It really doesn't matter. Just go with what your boyfriend chooses to do and can comfortably afford. He'll find out once he's shopping that some rings come in sets - others you can purchase separately. Just trust him and be surprised!
id say getting the engagement ring first. my fiancee got my engagement ring before christmas before he proposed, and they gave him marry money. these are coupons that allow him to take half off of his next purchase. so we can buy our wedding bands and get 50% off for our next purchase. the only thing is they expire like 6 months after you get them, so you have to use it quick.
you can get a cheap .5 carat ring anywhere, it just depends on the quality. mine is .61 carats, but was expensive because of the clarity and color, and all the other Cs of diamonds.
It shouldn't matter unless you want the engagement ring and the wedding band to be a set.
Take a look online at

You can choose the exact diamond and put it into any of the setting they have. This way you can decide on the quality of the diamond, cut, color and clarity.
Neither. Very few places give you a discount for buying 2 rings or a bridal set. Usually unless you are talking a very expensive set, they don't negotiate much more. If you are getting just a plain band, there is little to no difference. But if you are getting a diamond eternity band--yes since the cost is so elevated, it is cheaper to buy both.
For a ring--do a lot of comparison shopping. Of course you could buy a cheap ring in the classifieds (broken engagements or divorces) and of course pawn shops. However, if you are wanting a guarantee, some type of proof that the diamond is certified and real--consider small jewelry stores. They don't have as much markup but be aware that b/c of that, you can't negotiate the same percentage off at a small store.
Also look at setting shows. They have hundreds of arrangements at one giant trunk show that you can can look at all at once. Also depending on what 4cs you are looking for, trunk shows have a larger arrangement--especially of more ';perfect'; stones.
Just take the time to look around so that you can find the exact ring that symbolizes your relationship and that she will love for the rest of your lives together.
Price it out both ways. It may be cheaper to buy the engagment ring now and wait until a holiday sale to buy the wedding band or the discount when you buy them together may be best.
You can cut out what I consider unneccesary extras. Things like diamonds on the inside of the ring where they aren't seen or on the bottom of the ring where they also aren't seen and more likely to get damaged.
Before you buy an eternity ring with diamonds all around you should also consider that they are very exspensive if not impossible to get resized and 90% of people have to get rings resized at least once in their lifetime.

It's worth it to be near your daughter. That being said, I'd not move in with let alone marry this woman until you've been in the states for awhile to see if it will work and prepare yourself in case it doesn't.
She sounds sorry, but its so easy at this point for her to not have to deal with any of this while you aren't on the phone. Long distance is tough because you are not in the the everyday grind of a persons life. She gets to present to you what she wants to present to you. Being face to face with a person is harder to hide from someone what you don't want them to see.
With her affairs, she needs to start all over in terms of trust. She has a lot of in your face proving to you that she is committed to making the relationship work. She has to prove she can be trustworthy, open and honest with you. It's only something you will discover over time.
If you think that she truly recognizes her mistakes and is ready to put the effort into the challanges the two of you will face after a long distance relationship coupled with cheating several times, then start the process. If you don't feel she does recognize the mistakes and effort she needs to invest, then don't.
But definitly get to know your daughter because you've already missed a lot.Fiancee cheated after engagement/ we have a baby/ advice?
Long Distance relationships are hard to deal with but there is no excuse for cheating. There is such a thing as waiting until the two of you can be together. If you have forgiven her for breaking this trust the two of you are supposed to have, then what are you actually expecting from her? She won't cheat because your in the same country? People cheat because there is something missing. If she cheated on you because you two argue a lot, what other excuses will she feed you? If she said it wasn't even worth it, was that because she couldn't make it work with him or because your better than he was? A lot to think about before you marry her. You can have the baby in your life without marrying her.
If he'll cheat now he'll cheat later. I would grab my kid-run and not look back.
give her a 2nd chance, long distance is hard, at least she admitted to it so she could be honest and move on. seems like she is remorseful of her mistake and wants to make it up to you. give her a 2nd chance, everyone makes mistakes and she seems like she is willing to do whatever to prove it to you.
Focus on your child. I think you need to be in the same country as your child. Do NOT get back with this woman if you do not forgive her or feel you can't trust her. Be near your child so you can help raise her. you will be doing your child a huge dis-service if you get with or marry her mother to be with your child. Staying together or being together for the sake of a child is pure BS and does NOT work.
I feel that she deserves a second chance. The only reason I feel you should give her another chance is because at least she did say she wanted to start on a clean slate. That shows that she wants to be honest with you and that she really feels that you have the right to know that she messed up. The good thing about it is that she told you before you got married rather than after so that you have the choice to be with her now or not. Yeah, it was probably a mistake but it was unfortunately the worst one you could make. Give her another chance but let her know she is walking on thin ice from the gate.
Dude.
Way to be. Its nice that a guy is the one to take care of the kid AND work.
Let me guess she can't raise the child AND work because it IS about her carrier. While you are the family she is lonely and cheats.
This kind of puts you in a tough spot.
I will tell you that as a guy who has lived through infidelity you can give her one second chance and make it work.
Its not easy and to me requires that she knows why it happened and tells you, that she will promise to NEVER do it again AND she signs a prenup that if she ever does cheat again she is gone with her clothes and NOTHING else ( including your child). She does not get and marital assets even 50%. If she is serious she will do this. If not well you will know her resolve.
You are in a tough spot and there was some level of opportunity since you were not married . That does not ease the pain.
I also think you guys need to be together as well. Long distance relationship is an oxymoron.
Give it a try. The damage is done and there is only one way to make it better and that's to move forward.
Get that prenup and Good Luck.
She cheated! Why do you think so little of yourself to stay with a cheater? You can still be a good parent to you child and not be with her mother. You do deserve better.
once a cheater always a cheater?girls cheat for completly different reasons, she needs attention!!!!!!!!!!!!,long distantce doesnt cut it. come to America and yall cant work it out.then it just wasnt meant to be(a child can not hold two people toghether),but if u two can come to trust each other, well then, great for you!!!
she made a mistake and people do it all the time. the real question is will she do it again. what is your heart telling you. if you all happy with her stay, it will take time to trust and get over this. Remember the love of your life is with her and you have to see them both for the rest of your life any ways. But if you know in your heart you can't trust her let her go and be the best dad you can.. only you can answer this question.. good luck and remember your not the only person going thought this. talk to her, family, friends, and the doc if you need to. I wish you luck and this takes time..
Long distance relationships cannot work for this exact reason. If you plan on living together from now on (when you go back in October) there is a chance this could work. If not, forget it, it is a done deal. Now, if you will be back together in Chicago for good, I would give it another go. I would not get married, but I would give it perhaps 6months. your 6th sense by then will know what to do. you will both either fall back in love, and will be able to move onward together, or you will still be unsure or you will be wanting to get out altogether. However, for the sake of the child, if you feel she is truly sorry and has grieved over this, give it another go. (Use condoms no matter what though) For your child's sake, forgive her mom enough to work it out. I would also go to couple's counseling as well. If after the time period (say 6 months) you realize it cannot be worked out, or the love is gone, or you are still unsure, then you can decide what to do then. I will say this, I was in a long distance relationship, and he cheated on me too. It is the nature of the beast. I will never again be in a LD relationship. Good luck to you.(By the way, I am now raising my child alone, and it sucks to say the least)
Long distance relationships are very hard, and if she is honest about why she did it, then I see alittle merit in that. Still it isn't right to do this to anyone under any condition. I would give her a 2nd chance and work on getting the two of you together and end the long distance relationship. You should do this for the two of you and your daughter.
well this is a very sticky situation. I believe that you two need come to some kind of truce and weigh all options before you give a answer that is permanent you need to consider all of the problems. you may even need a mediator that is unbiased to the situation so it doesn't turn into a blame game. but the biggest thing is to decide what is best for your daughter because at this point she is the biggest reason to have some resolve. So consider all things. The main one being why are you so far away from your family? is your career more important? or is your fiance's job more important that submitting to yours? be honest and through about everything involved so you can execute a firm plan.
I hope your aren't expecting fidelity and loyalty, because you know what is at hand right now. You need a DNA test just to keep things on the straight and narrow. If the child is truly yours then, taking all things into consideration, marry her if you feel she will be true to you this time. If the DNA test doesn't hold true, break it off. Then, find yourself one of those thick rubber bands place it on your wrist and give yourself a hard snap every time you think of her. You deserve much better.
I hate to say it, but I will. If she cheated with you because she was lonely and your relationship is long distance, what is really going to change. You don't say whether or not you are going to go back to France or if there is future travel required for your job. The next time you leave, what's to stop it from happening again for the same reasons as the first time. Being engaged didn't keep her faithful and marriage certainly won't. You can be a part of your childs future, especially since you will probably be paying child support anyway. Don't let society dictate how you live your life, they don't park their shoes under your bed everynight and have to sleep next to you. Do what you feel is right, in your heart. Good luck.
Forgive once. The next time seperate.
Do it for your baby girl. One more chance. She got lonely %26amp; messed up. You forgive her, now let it go.
Move over to U.S. as planned %26amp; get your family togeather. Once you are there perminiately, things should fall into place.
That's why long distance relationships are so hard. There's no day to day contact. Life is about chances sometimes. If you don't give it a chance, you might never forgive yourself for becomming another satistic.
Also consider how hard it has been for her to raise a baby on her own.
It's got to be hard on the both of you too be apart all the time give her a chance sounds like you love her and your baby !!!Go for it!!!
I think she has been punished enough. It sounds like she was just really lonely which is torture to a woman. You have every reason to forgive her as in you have a baby ,shes sorry ect.I beleive she loves you.Dont put off marraige either just forgive her as its in your heart and move on.I doubt it would of ever happened if you had been there.Women have Sex drives and emotional needs unless your a soldier I cant see why you both would not have been together before now.Make your wife or girlfreind a priorty as in being together asap.Forgive her she is only human.Sounds like she loves you.
Long distance relationships are tough. If you really believe that she is sorry for it, give her another chance. But get together asap, for the sake of that baby girl!
This is a question that no one can answer for you. It is one that you have to look deep within yourself to find the answer. If a marriage is going to be successful, it has to be built upon trust. Once trust is lost, even though you forgive the individual, it is difficult and takes a good while for that person to regain your trust.
You, and your fiance have a hurdle to overcome before you get married. Even though you forgive her, you are still going to have a lack of trust and will be suspicious of her activities.
Is she willing to live with you no longer trusting her? How long it will take before you feel like you can trust her again is hard to say.
If you think she just wants to get married for society or her parent's sake that is no reason to get married. It is a shame that you have a baby that is caught up in this dilemma, but you must consider the fact that you wouldn't be doing the child any favors if you got married and the marriage didn't work out.
It is hard enough to have a long distance relationship, let alone an out of the country relationship. Then to add to it having a child to take care of all alone. She I am sure at times feels weak and lonely. As I am sure you do.
first off she told you about it, she could have hid it and never said a word, you may have never found out. That right there is something, she did what she did and she is trying to make things right. If you love her, and she loves you ...the both of you can get past it and move on together and be happy. Although if this job is going to keep you out of the country for more time, this may happen again and again...you cant expect someone to put their life on hold and wait for you for months and years on end. It is not fair to either of you. Seems she has all the family resposibility and you just have your job out of the country. In reality she has no idea what goes on with your either. It is a very touchy thing you are in. Good luck to you.
Leave, you'll never get over it.
In my opinion i think you should give her a second chance. Long distance relationships are very very hard on someone. First of all you are lonely and all you have is a phone call, so when that phone call goes wrong everything else goes down the drain. So just give her another chance because you know if you had done something you would want another chance too..gloss makeup hair

In my opinion i think you should give her a second chance. Long distance relationships are very very hard on someone. First of all you are lonely and all you have is a phone call, so when that phone call goes wrong everything else goes down the drain. So just give her another chance because you know if you had done something you would want another chance too..
My fiance broke up with me...and returned the engagement ring???? need advice, please?
We r engaged.. we met when she was doing her masters in psychology here, in England...
Shes from Brazil, and now that she got her degree, she returned to her country...we r so far...but I always travel to Brazil to see her, and sometimes she comes...She worth it, shes perfect, love of my life... we didnt got married before, only because she doesnt want to move to England..
But the worst problem is that my fiance called few days ago and broke up with me... I already bought a ticket to Brazil in order to resolve it...but today i received a fedex package with her engagement ring (and many other things)...I think she is really serious about her decision.
The problem is that shes right, she found out that I cheated on her...I know.. huge mistake, though I was drunk...I screwed up...
For sure I know who told her...MY 'friend', because since I introduce them, he doesnt stop talking how shes beautiful, gorgeous, intelligent ...then..suddenly she knows that I cheated on her? how is possible, if she lives in Brazil? Im furious...
I dont believe its over now, I am trying call her, but I think she changed her phone number..so, I called her parents, her father told me no need to come, because she already made her decision....Im desperate!!! her friends dont pick up the phone...WTF!
So, I travel to Brazil and then what? Im lost... what can I do? Need advice!!!My fiance broke up with me...and returned the engagement ring???? need advice, please?
First off, beat the **** out of your friend. And hey what the hell, go to Brazil. Worst case scenario you're in Brazil, she rejects you, you get blackout drunk and have sex with a cat. Not that bad, all things considered. My fiance broke up with me...and returned the engagement ring???? need advice, please?
well first of all you never ever cheat. Not even when you are drunk, and what if you get drunk and do it again? Im sure that's what she is thinking. But if she really means that much to you then go to Brazil and go to all her family's house and her friends and find her. If its meant to be you will find her.
I know you probably don't want to hear this but it's over, once she returned the ring she was serious and will not take you back.
I don't understand how you can still call your friend a friend if that is true. If I were you I would keep my distance for a while. Maybe later you can send her a letter just inquiring how she is doing and say something like you hope she is doing well and wish her all the best that life has to offer. That you hope your mistake can one day be forgiven and you can be friends. Then tell her that your sorry for what you did and give her time. Let her come to you if and when she forgives you.
Maybe one day she will forgive you but you need to give her space for quite a while right now.
An old friend told me something many years ago that are good words to live by.

Advice please on Engagement pertaining to Sex before marriage!?
I have become engaged to my wonderful boyfriend just last week.We are both 29. I am a virgin and he has past relationships but I accepted that. I am quite a moderate conservative and he grew up in a liberal environment but share the same Asian roots that's why he said he respects and understands me. I know he loves me so much. Now: When we are planning when our wedding would be, I had the impression that he wants to make sure if I was really, truly in love with him! He is very affectionate and expressive. I tell him I love him but he sounded not too convinced everytime and want me to reassure him. I felt he wanted to feel ';bonded'; to me in the form of sex. I want to wait until marriage but it seems that there will be no wedding date yet until we don't make love. How do I handle this? Even if I wanted to save the best for last, but thinking that we are engaged does this warrant that we can make love because we are good as married due to the commitment? Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!Advice please on Engagement pertaining to Sex before marriage!?
Keep your virginity until marriage. Your fiance should not place this type of pressure on you. If he knows where you are coming from he needs to respect that until you say ';I do.'; Just b/c you two are engaged doesn't mean that commitment is cemented in to the ground, he can still walk away %26amp; you'd be single %26amp; have lost your virginity. If he loves you like he says and wants to marry you, then tell him to set a date %26amp; do right by you. If he refuses to set the date b/c you want to wait %26amp; have been waiting all this time, then you'll see what type of Romeo your future husband truly is..I think it's pretty low of him to put you in a position to do something you have vowed not to do until marriage.
Engagement is beautiful but it's not a marriage %26amp; people are known to break engagements all the time. And if he's not convinced that you love him ((which is the biggest lie in the book)) ask him why he wants marriage if he feels this way..Don't be sucked up in this game. Please don't lose your virginity until your wedding night..It's not worth it and he's not worth it if he can't wait a few more months after waiting all this time!! Don't fall victim to the game..I know you love him but love mirrors respect and if he respects you..he'll wait! Clink, clink..keep it locked down!!Advice please on Engagement pertaining to Sex before marriage!?
Looks like we share the same asian roots and the same belief. Stick to your principle. It is in that manner that your man will come to realize that you are not letting your guard down at the same time, will not seem like you are running after him.
i am personally not so comfortable with the idea that there will be no wedding date unless you make love with him. in a way, he is reducing you to a mere sex slave (pardon the term).
Assuring him of your love could be done in more creative ways than surrendering yourself before marriage.
Go with what you are comfortable with because at the end of the day, you are liable only to your conscience and not to anyone else.
Just don't go into it if you're really not ready yet... An engagement isn't a bond nor a warrant to give up that something you've been preserving all your life... If you're fiance really loves you, then he'll wait till you get married... Hmmm.. have you tried talking to him about this?
If i were you i would prbably dump his ***..
Seriously though i mean what kind of a guy says i won't marry you unless we have sex.
I didn't wait for marriage i waited for a year and 7 months though, and Brent never pressuerd me, one day i was just ready, i did have questions anymore or anything. you still have questions making you unready, so even if this guy was the sweet guy you are trying to make him out to be you should not have sex with him..
Also i strongly belvie that you will fill guilty if you have sex with him because you have had it in your head to wait till marraige for a long time i am persuming..
but i would dump him... but i am very... i just don't like any kind of pressure. I feel he dosn't have respect for you if he presures you. if he loves you as much as you say he can wait till marrage/when you are ready.
You are not ';good as married'; and it sounds like he just got engaged so he could get into your panties. Once the challenge has been met, he may break off the engagement. Eyes wide open girl!
